Kate diRienzi is an NYC based director, choreographer, writer and a Philadelphia native. She makes work for an audience that is impulsive, anxious and curious. She is passionate about work that is feminine, violent, and highly imaginative. She often explores this through physicality and a keen sense of humor. She makes work for theatre, film, television. Kate prioritizes fostering artistic spaces that are highly collaborative, playful, and creatively rigorous.

Kate is currently in post-production for a short film she is directing entitled Before We Die created by Lizzy Walther and Audrey Lane. 

Kate has also spent the last two years directing and developing Beth Golison’s musical adaptation of Charlotte Bronte’s beloved novel Jane Eyre. After Playwrights Downtown’s production of jane eyre: an autobiography was cancelled due to COVID-19, Beth and Kate created a visual album of their favorite music from the show. jane eyre (THE VISUAL ALBUM) is available on YouTube. Kate recently was part of Fresh Ground Pepper’s Creative Leadership Lab 2020. She also completed her  Safe Sets International COVID-19 (Level A) Certificate for the Film and Video Production Industry.
